My goal was to make a thread teapot inspired by the glow of hot metal and flames.

Dazzle Camo Teapot
This thread teapot was inspired by the old style of “dazzle camouflage”, much more common in the military around the first World War. I chose to make a classic conical shape for the pot, similar to the Il Conico Kettle by Aldo Rossi. The lid completes the cone and is removable. The base is also in the same camouflage style.

Moon Dance
These are not tame trees. This art quilt was inspired by Van Morrison’s song, “Moon Dance.” I imagined trees dancing in a shower of starlike leaves, as the moon circles them. What is the source of light?
