I enjoy giving a dimensional fiber art piece even more 3D aspects.
My own handmade silk paper provides the structure for the teapot. I purchased beautiful marbled paper at an art center, used a decorative machine stitch to attach a piece onto each gore of the pot, and then cut and curled the paper. The lid fits snugly into the pot opening.
