I was commissioned to create a fabric picture of this Sanctuary. It is on the grounds of the National Cathedral, in Washington, DC.

My aim was to make a thread teapot with metallic elements.

“Inspired by Endangered Species” - 182 quilts about the world’s flora and fauna in danger of extinction - was headed by Donna DeSoto. Such an important theme, so I contributed two to her project.

The Old Patent Office is the current home of the Smithsonian American Art Museum (SAAM) and National Portrait Gallery (NPG). It has a long history going back to the early days of our nation’s capitol. My art quilt was made for the exhibition Inspired by The National Capital Area. Old Patent Office Building My quilt is composed of scenes of art, architecture and history. Colored masking tape and bubble wrap make for a fun twist on traditional quilt patterns, especially with the effect of light shining through. (Scroll down to see several hangings)
