Three Billion
“Three Billion” is a multi-media invitational show, to be held at the Hudgens Center for the Arts near Atlanta, Georgia. “Three Billion” is reference to the recent news and research that has shown the loss of 3 billion birds in North America over the last 50 years. Nine billion birds used to fill our skies. How could we not notice they are disappearing?

Fish are a great inspiration for decorative teapots. A deep sea inhabitant, the Anglerfish, lures its lunch with a dangling light.

Montauk Lighthouse Wall Quilt
In 2016 I was offered the opportunity, through the Art in State program, to exhibit a quilt at the US Embassy in Riga, Latvia. Ambassador Nancy Pettit, who is from Long Island, loved my quilt of Montauk Lighthouse. The art to be shown in the exhibition would all be related to New York State.

Flip Flop Fish Teapots
Three fishy teapots. Each is made entirely of stitched threads, free-standing, and hollow. Like any teapot, these have a spout (mouth), handle (tail), and lid (dorsal fin). Unlike most teapots and fish, these prefer to stay dry.
